The municipality of Marratxí will host tomorrow the start of the II Garden Hotels-Luxcom Challenge Ciclista Mallorca women’s race, with the first day starting at the Plaça Ajuntament in Marratxí and finishing in Felanitx, after 129.1 kilometres. It will be the first of the three trophies that make up the programme of this second edition of the professional women’s race, which will have the participation of 18 teams. The start of the Marratxí-Felanitx Trophy will take place at 12:45 pm and the finish is scheduled for 3:55 pm, according to the fastest time.
The competition will be completed with the Palma-Castell de Bellver Trophy (Sunday 26 January) and the Binissalem-Port d’Andratx Trophy (Monday 27 January).
After last year’s success, with the premiere of the first Garden Hotels-Luxcom Challenge Ciclista Mallorca women’s competition, the best cyclists in the international peloton are back on the island’s roads. Thus, over three days, some of the best teams in the international women’s peloton will start the season in Mallorca. A total of 18 teams will be on the starting ramp for this edition: 6 UCI World Teams, 11 UCI Continental Teams and the Spanish National Team.

Fans will be able to follow the development of the races live, with the television broadcast of the last hour and a half, through Eurosport, Teledeporte, MAX, Discovery Plus and also through the regional television channel IB3. The schedule will be from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for the Palma Trophy, which will be from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
