The third Garden Hotels & Resorts Challenge Mallorca Femenina gets underway tomorrow, Saturday, January 24, with the Trofeu Marratxí–Puig de Sant Salvador (Felanitx), an opening stage of 128.8 kilometers that will be the first major test of the competition.
The race is scheduled to start at 12:45 pm from Plaça de l’Ajuntament (Sa Cabaneta), while the finish is expected around 4:00 pm, according to the best-case scenario. The riders will face a demanding stage, with a summit finish on the Puig de Sant Salvador, a second-category climb, which is expected to determine the first winner of the Challenge.
The competition continues on Sunday with the Trofeu Llucmajor, a 134.8-kilometer course, a stage more favorable to the sprinters in the peloton. The Challenge will conclude on Monday the 26th with the Trofeu Binissalem–Port d’Andratx, a 108.2-kilometer race finishing on the challenging slopes of Mon Port.
A peloton of 18 teams
The 2026 edition will feature a top-level international peloton of 18 teams, guaranteeing a competition of exceptional sporting quality. The starting line will include five UCI Women’s WorldTeams (Movistar, Uno-X Mobility, Human Powered Health, Lidl-Trek, and UAE Team ADQ), three UCI ProTeams (Laboral Kutxa, Home Auber93, and Winspace Orange Seal), as well as nine continental teams, including five Spanish squads, and the Spanish National Road Cycling Team.
